Toni Mazzacca is a Tax Partner at Grassi with over 25 years of experience. She primarily focuses on financial services organizations, advising on complex tax, regulatory and operational matters. She specializes in serving private equity funds, asset managers, banks, investment companies and broker-dealers by helping clients streamline operations, manage risk and drive growth through strategic tax planning and transformation initiatives.
Toni provides comprehensive federal, state, local and international tax services across the financial services industry, including all types of investment companies and capital market sectors. She has deep experience overseeing all aspects of client service delivery, including tax provision and compliance, and is widely regarded as a trusted advisor within Grassi’s Financial Services practice.
Prior to joining Grassi, Toni was a Tax Partner at Forvis Mazars on the financial services team, managing a multimillion-dollar client portfolio. In this role, she delivered tax planning, compliance and structuring solutions to a diverse client base, including domestic and foreign banks, private equity firms, hedge funds, venture capital firms, broker-dealers and emerging companies in the cryptocurrency and artificial intelligence sectors.
Toni’s expertise includes advising multinational investment firms on cross-border tax implications, treaty benefits and international tax compliance (ITAX). She also has in-depth knowledge of partnership taxation, carried interest arrangements, blocker structures, Section 704(b)/704(c) allocations for complex fund structures and ASC 740 income tax accounting standards.
Toni is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYCPA). She also participates in the Association of Latino Professionals For America (ALPFA) and the Wall Street Tax Association, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing tax education in the financial industry.
Toni received her Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from Pace University and a Master of Business Administration in finance (summa cum laude) from Fordham University.
