Grassi was founded in 1980 by Louis C. Grassi, with only an empty filing cabinet and a desk. Since then, Grassi has grown to become one of the nation’s largest accounting firms with more than 450 employees and nine office locations in the U.S. and Italy. Our team of experienced CPAs, CFOs, business consultants, forensic accountants, valuation experts, trust and estate specialists and tax advisors offer strategic advice and customized solutions to overcome all obstacles standing in the way of your greatest success. In November 2023, Grassi announced a significant change in its ownership structure with the establishment of its employee stock ownership plan (ESOP). This is a pioneering alternative practice structure, and Grassi is among a select few firms with this unique structure.  The ESOP ensures that equity partners and all Grassi U.S. employees have the exclusive opportunity to own the firm’s stock, making them integral to the company’s future. Unlike many other ESOPs, Grassi’s is privately funded, with no outside investors or private equity firms involved in the plan. Amidst a landscape of rapid change, consolidation, and private equity investments in public accounting, Grassi has chosen a path that ensures our continued independence and strength in the marketplace. Additionally, this new ownership structure presents an exciting opportunity for all Grassi’s employees who are now invested in the firm’s continued growth and success.

Grassi & Co. Certified Public Accountants, PC is a licensed CPA firm that provides attest services. Grassi Advisory Group, Inc. and its subsidiary entities provide tax and business consulting services to clients and provide staff and other administrative resources to Grassi.
