S. Bernard Goldberg is a Partner in Grassi’s Tax practice. He has over 25 years of public accounting experience and advises businesses and high-net-worth individuals on effective tax mitigation strategies.

Bernie provides tax planning and compliance services to a diverse range of clients, including real estate, healthcare, restaurant and professional services industries. He also provides tax controversy services, guiding clients through the conflict resolution process and representing them before federal and state taxation authorities. Bernie’s experience also includes advising individuals on effective stock option tax planning.

Before joining Grassi, Bernie was a Partner at Levine, Caufield, Martin & Goldberg PC, a predecessor firm that joined Grassi in 2020. In this role, he oversaw the services and staff of the firm’s Tax department and helped plan the overall firm’s strategic growth.

Bernie holds a master’s degree in taxation from Northeastern University, a master’s degree in accounting and business administration from Southern University of New Hampshire and a bachelor’s degree from Hobart College.

He is a member of the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants (MassCPA), the Tax Section of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the USA 500 Clubs professional network.
