Raymond L. Anstiss, Jr., CPA, MBA Partner, Managing Partner of the Chelmsford Office, Boston Market Leader

Raymond L. Anstiss Jr. (Ray) serves as the Managing Partner of Grassi’s Chelmsford office and is the Boston Market Leader, following the successful merger of Anstiss & Co., P.C., with Grassi. Ray brings over 30 years of leadership in audit, tax and advisory services to privately held businesses, nonprofit organizations and employee benefit plans throughout New England.

Known for his relationship-first approach, Ray has built long-standing client partnerships across industries such as manufacturing, distribution, technology, professional services and the nonprofit sector. He is a recognized advisor to boards of directors and executive teams, providing strategic insight on operational improvement, governance and mergers and succession planning.

Ray began his career with KPMG in Boston before joining and later leading Anstiss & Co. Under his leadership, the firm grew to become one of Massachusetts’ Top 30 accounting firms.

Ray currently serves on several nonprofit and corporate boards, including Tufts Medicine and FIDUS Investment Corporation, where he chairs the Audit Committees. He is the former Board Chair of Lowell General Hospital and has been active in various community organizations, including being a board member of Bishop Guertin High School, Greater Lowell Chamber of Commerce, United Way of Merrimack Valley, D’Youville Senior Care, Inc., Whistler House Museum and Saints Medical Center. He was also the inaugural recipient of the Greater Lowell Chamber of Commerce Community Service Award.

Ray is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants (MassCPAs). He earned his Master of Business Administration with highest honors from the University of Notre Dame and his Bachelor of Science in accountancy from Providence College.
