NYSDOH Announces New Funding for Technology & Telehealth

The New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) and the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York (DASNY) have issued a Request for Applications (RFA) for the Statewide Health Care Facility Transformation Program IV and V.

Funds will be awarded in the form of grants to support technological and telehealth projects that facilitate health care transformation activities. Grant dollars can be used to fund capital, non-capital and working capital expenses.

The following types of New York State provider organizations are eligible to apply:

  • Hospitals
  • Residential Health Care Facilities
  • Adult Care Facilities
  • Diagnostic and Treatment Centers
  • Clinics
  • Children’s Residential Treatment Facilities
  • Assisted Living Programs
  • Behavioral Health Providers
  • Home Care Providers
  • Primary Care Providers
  • Hospices
  • Community-Based Programs funded under the Office of Mental Health, the Office of Addiction Services and Supports, the Office for People with Developmental Disabilities, or through local governments
  • Independent Practice Associations or Organizations
  • Residential Facilities
  • Day Programs
  • Midwifery Birth Centers

Applicants will be required to submit a project proposal focused on improving one of the four categories listed below within their organization:

  1. Electronic Health Records
  2. Cybersecurity
  3. Health Management Tools
  4. Telehealth

Applications must be submitted through the Grants Gateway no later than March 13, 2024 by 4:00p.m. EST, but questions reading the RFA are due by January 26, 2024. All applicants must be prequalified in the New York State Grants Gateway or Statewide Financial System (SFS) before submitting their proposal.

Not-for-profit applicants are required to prequalify prior to grant application. More information on the prequalification process can be found on the New York State Grant Management website.
