Elizabeth Abuin is a Tax Director at Grassi and has more than 23 years of public accounting experience. As a member of the firm’s Trust & Estate practice, Elizabeth specializes in the preparation of estate, fiduciary and individual income tax returns and advises clients on compliance with all federal, state and local tax laws.
Elizabeth has extensive experience in litigated trust and estate matters. She supports attorneys, executors and trustees in the preparation and management of complex fiduciary accounting requirements, helping them mitigate risk and fulfill their fiduciary roles in and out of surrogate’s court.
Prior to joining Grassi, Elizabeth worked in the trust and estate department of a local accounting firm for 11 years and dedicated her time to helping clients, trustees and executors navigate the surrogate’s court and achieve tax compliance.
Elizabeth graduated from the University at Buffalo with a Bachelor of Science in accounting. She focuses her continued professional development on staying ahead of evolving changes in trust and estate taxation.
