Evan Fox is a Partner and the Real Estate Tax Leader at Grassi. He has decades of experience serving clients with a broad mix of operations, including residential, nonprofit, commercial, retail, hospitality, mixed-use and infrastructure. Evan also has extensive experience in transactional consultation and financial analysis for acquisitions and sales, joint ventures, UPREIT formation, mergers, spin-offs, reorganizations and financings. Additionally, Evan has worked with clients in the affordable housing sector and clients with Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) and Qualified Opportunity Zone (QOZ) funds.
Evan is a CPA in New York State and an admitted member of the New York State Bar (First Department) and the United States Tax Court. The New York Real Estate Journal has recognized Evan as one of the real estate industry’s “Ones to Watch” and “Commercial Real Estate Visionaries.” He has also been quoted by CNBC, Bloomberg Tax, and various other publications for timely tax insights on legislative changes and novel issues.
Evan earned his Bachelor of Science in economics from the University of Michigan, Doctor of Law from Brooklyn Law School and his Master of Law in taxation from New York University.
