Michele Holmes is a Principal at Grassi and is heavily engaged with clients in the Construction industry. Michele is heavily involved in employee benefit plan audits and helps clients meet their financial and tax deadlines. She also provides guidance to allow them to run their operations more efficiently.

Her work includes audits, reviews, compilations, and developing tax deferral strategies that save clients money. Michele is also involved in tax compliance and has performed consulting projects for her construction clients, including fraud risk assessments, cost audits and acquisition due diligence.

With over twenty-five years of progressive experience at the firm, Michele plays a significant role in developing and training the audit staff.

Michele is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYCPA). She has obtained a certification as a Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional (CCIFP), of which there are fewer than 1,000 in the United States. The CCIFP certification is the standard of excellence for construction financial professionals.

Michele is a graduate of the Long Island University, C.W. Post Campus, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Suma Cum Laude. She continues her professional training with a heavy schedule of continuing professional education coursework in audit and taxation.
