Sherri Cohen is a Principal in Grassi’s Client Accounting Services (CAS) Practice. She brings over 20 years of experience in public and private accounting across a diverse range of industries. Her expertise spans real estate, investment funds, financial services, nonprofit organizations, consumer products, automotive, healthcare, legal, and other professional service sectors.
Sherri specializes in delivering outsourced CFO services tailored to each client’s unique operational and strategic needs. Her services include developing and implementing accounting policies and procedures, overseeing internal and external financial teams, and creating comprehensive strategic business plans. These plans encompass financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and managing complex financial records.
Before joining Grassi, Sherri served as Director and Co-Leader of Accounting and Advisory Services at a top 50 regional accounting firm. She has held key roles as a fund administrator, controller, and outsourced CFO, earning a reputation as a trusted advisor and a leading resource for Grassi’s CAS team, clients, and industry peers.
Sherri is actively involved in the professional community as a member of the Business Council of Westchester and Speed Networking Westchester. She has been featured in the Northeast Carwasher quarterly publication and serves as Treasurer of HisToury, a nonprofit organization based in Westchester.
She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Miami.
