Steve Gaskowitz, CPA, CFE, is an Audit Principal at Grassi and has over fifteen years of public accounting experience to the firm. He has extensive experience auditing services for the Manufacturing, Real Estate, Retail, Technology, Nonprofit, Governmental, Insurance, and Employee Benefit Plans industries and assisting public companies with SEC reporting requirements.

Before joining Grassi, Steve was the CFO of a nutraceutical manufacturing company on Long Island. During this time, Steve oversaw all accounting, payroll, and HR functions for approximately 100 employees. He has experience planning and supervising various auditing and review engagements while providing accounting and taxation services for a diversified client base.

Steve became a Certified Public Accountant in 2008 and a Certified Fraud Examiner in 2018. Steve is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYCPA), and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE).

Steve received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Long Island University, C.W. Post Campus. At Post, he volunteered in the VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) Program, which offers free tax help to low-income families.
