Steve Gaskowitz, CPA, CFE Principal

Steve Gaskowitz is an Audit Principal at Grassi, bringing over fifteen years of public accounting experience to the firm. He has extensive experience in auditing services for the manufacturing, real estate, retail, technology, nonprofit, governmental, insurance and employee benefit plan industries. Steve also assists organizations with SOC audits and works with public companies on SEC reporting requirements.

Before joining Grassi, Steve was the Chief Financial Officer of a nutraceutical manufacturing company on Long Island. During this time, Steve oversaw all accounting, payroll and HR functions for approximately 100 employees. He has experience planning and supervising various auditing and review engagements while providing accounting and taxation services for a diversified client base.

Steve became a CPA in 2008 and a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) in 2018. Steve is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYCPA) and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE).

Steve received his Bachelor of Science in accounting from Long Island University, C.W. Post Campus. At Post, he volunteered in the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program, which offers free tax help to low-income families.
