Anthony D’Agostino is a Principal in Grassi’s Consulting practice. He has more than 40 years of experience in financial and operational strategies for multistate and multinational companies. Having served in CFO, COO, auditor and consultant roles, Anthony has a diverse background in advising public and private companies, healthcare facilities, home healthcare agencies, international businesses and Fortune 500 clients.

Anthony specializes in budgeting processes, financial reporting, internal controls, technology solutions and risk management for a variety of industries, including healthcare, manufacturing and distribution. He also guides companies through processes and decisions at key stages of the business cycle, including mergers and acquisitions, raising startup capital, initial public offerings (IPOs), positioning the business for sale, organizational restructuring, bankruptcy, turnarounds and workouts.

Throughout his career, Anthony has worked closely with general counsels on key agreements, including licensing agreements for technology and trademarks and other important legal matters.

Before joining Grassi, Anthony was the audit committee chairman for a public portfolio company. At the same time, he served as CFO and COO at several other portfolio companies, where he oversaw all financial functions, as well as the migration to a single enterprise system across all companies. His experience includes serving as CFO at a software developer focused on creating management dashboards for public companies, with real-time connections to legacy software behind the firewall. The company developed file storage and retrieval systems for large insurance and manufacturing companies.

In addition, Anthony worked at startup company, where he raised $120 million in an IPO, enabling them to develop a HIPAA compliant private network among doctor offices, hospitals history and their current insurance company’s coverage rules prior to prescribing the next step in the patient’s care.

Before those experiences, Anthony served as CFO of a multinational public semiconductor manufacturer and grew with the company through three major evolutions in the business processes. He provided advisory services as the company developed and sold specialized semiconductors to computer manufacturers, as well as network adapter cards and hubs through specialty retailers and complete network solutions, with complex routers, directly to value-added resellers.

Anthony is an experienced audit and forensic accounting professional. He has performed forensic audit work for Big 4 accounting firms and Wall Street banks and has deep expertise in financial statements, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, SEC reporting and R&D development status reporting.

Anthony is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYCPA) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). He earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from St. John’s University.
