Jean David Chery is a Tax Partner at Grassi with over 14 years of professional accounting experience. Jean primarily works with clients in the Construction and Architecture & Engineering industries and utilizes his expertise in tax compliance and projections to help clients realize significant tax savings.
Jean also oversees special tax and accounting projects, trains and mentors Grassi’s tax staff, and teaches in-house classes on the Construction industry and other tax-specific updates.
Jean is a member of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYCPA) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). He is Chair of the NYCPA Construction Committee, a Director on the Board of the Nassau Chapter of the NYCPA, and a joint Chairman of the association’s NextGen Committee.
Before joining Grassi, Jean was a tax consultant for a Big 4 public accounting firm. He is a Certified Public Accountant in New York and earned his B.S. in Accounting from CUNY York College.
