Bryan Fryer is a Consulting Partner in Grassi’s Nonprofit practice. He is committed to advising nonprofit organizations, associations and foundations on improving financial health, mitigating risk and achieving long-term sustainability. Bryan specializes in providing outsourced CFO and controller services tailored to each client’s specific needs. These services include establishing and maintaining accounting policies and procedures, conducting risk assessments, overseeing external or internal financial staff and developing strategic business plans.

With 20 years of public accounting and advisory experience, Bryan has directed all facets of the accounting function, including payroll, investments and marketable securities, accounts receivable and collections, disbursements, taxes and revenue recognition and reporting. His expertise also includes risk management, vendor management, financial reporting, nonprofit attestation, internal controls and cash flow forecasting.

Before joining Grassi, Bryan held leadership roles in both public and private accounting. Most recently, he was a Partner at a regional public accounting firm, providing outsourced CFO and controller services to nonprofit and commercial clients. Previously, he served as controller for two ultra-high-net-worth multi-family offices. In these roles, he oversaw all accounting functions, administered banking and investment relationships, implemented internal controls, directed technology upgrades and managed budgeting, tax compliance and cash flow.

Bryan is also committed to serving his community as a coach and administrator of youth sports programs and as an active member at Nonprofit Westchester and the Business Council of Westchester. He is on the Board of Directors and leads both the finance and audit committees of New Settlement, a nonprofit settlement house serving the Mount Eden section of the Bronx.

Bryan is a CPA in the State of New York and a member of the New York State Society of CPAs and the American Institute of CPAs. He is a recipient of Westchester County’s “40 Under 40” award from the Business Council of Westchester.

Bryan earned his Master of Science in business administration (accounting) from the Catholic University of America.
