Fiona Cheng is a Senior Manager at Grassi on the Nonprofit team. She brings over 18 years of accounting experience in auditing nonprofit organizations. Fiona’s areas of expertise lie in financial statement audits for regionally known hospitals, for-profit and nonprofit managed care organizations, and fundraising/grant-making nonprofits. She also has experience in Uniform Guidance audits and employee benefit plan audits.

As a leader in our Nonprofit group, Fiona leads internal continuing professional education sessions specifically focused on our Nonprofit Practice. Additionally, Fiona is a subject matter expert within our Nonprofit Practice, where she assists organizations in achieving greater success and driving forward their mission.

Before joining Grassi, Fiona worked for a Big Four accounting firm, where she was a Senior Manager in the Audit/Accounting group. While there, she worked primarily in the healthcare group, conducting audit and accounting tasks. She also managed audits for a variety of nonprofit entities.

Fiona received her Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from Baruch College’s Zicklin School of Business. She is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and is fluent in Filipino.
