Jaime Rapps, CPA Partner

Jaime Rapps, CPA, is a Partner at Grassi and brings almost 15 years of audit, accounting, and tax experience to his role. As a member of the firm’s Nonprofit and Healthcare Practices, he specializes in financial reporting, audits, reviews, compilations, and tax work for clients in the nonprofit and healthcare industries.

Jaime advises various nonprofit and healthcare organizations on financial, operational, and compliance matters. He has extensive experience auditing and advising libraries, museums, private and charter schools, and charitable organizations.

Jaime’s expertise extends to OMB Uniform Guidance (formerly A-133) compliance and pension plan audits. His experience also includes audit and consulting services for housing companies. He advises multifamily HUD housing projects on Section 8 and Section 202 compliance and low-income housing tax credits.

Within the healthcare industry, Jaime focuses primarily on consulting, audits, and accounting for nursing homes and their ancillary companies, such as landholding companies, staffing agencies, pharmacies, and management companies. He has audited assisted living and adult day care programs and advised skilled nursing facilities on HUD audits and cost report audits.

Jaime’s experience also includes supporting his clients in ownership transitions and merger and acquisition transactions. He provides M&A accounting and consulting services and guides them through the complexities of the transaction.

Before joining Grassi, Jaime specialized in nonprofit and healthcare accounting, tax, and consulting services at two mid-sized public accounting firms.

Jaime received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Yeshiva University. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYCPA), and the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants (NJSCPA).
