Peter Motsch, CPA, is Grassi’s Partner and Accounting Services Leader. He specializes in accounting and advisory solutions for business owners and private equity firms. His expertise includes outsourced CFO and back-office accounting solutions, transaction advisory, audit and accounting services, and technology implementation consulting.

Peter has extensive experience advising private equity firms and portfolio companies on M&A transactions, financial reporting, compliance programs, and risk management. He has worked with public and private companies across various industries to ensure continuous compliance with evolving accounting and regulatory requirements.

Before joining Grassi, Peter was Director and Co-Leader of Accounting and Advisory Services at a regional Top 50 accounting firm. He has also served as practice leader of an outsourced accounting services group that provided full-service CFO/Controller outsourcing, day-to-day accounting support, and ERP implementation consulting.

Peter is a member of the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants (NJCPA) and was a member of the society’s Young CPAs Council from 2013 to 2016. He received the 2020 NJCPA Emerging Leaders Ovation Award and the 2015 NJCPA 30 Under 30 recognition.

Peter received his Master of Science in Business Administration in Management and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Accounting from Montclair State University, where he has also served as an adjunct professor.
